Mas Paloma – Guest House & Cottages en Provence

In order to make your stay as pleasant as possible and to guarantee health and safety conditions for everyone, please read these general rental conditions carefully.

These rental conditions may be changed at any time without prior notice.

Acceptance of and compliance with these rental conditions is acquired upon payment of the booking.

Mas Paloma is the trade name of SARL Ar Prat.

The fees paid for the stay at Mas Paloma do not allow you to invite other people than those mentioned on the booking voucher. Exceptions to this rule may be made, but only with the prior agreement of the manager of Mas Paloma.

We inform you that the entire property, both inside and outside, is under video surveillance.

The prices quoted for our suites are in euros, including VAT, per room and per night, for two people, including breakfast, and for the chosen date. The Taxe de Séjour (a local tax paid to the Treasury) must be added (per day and per person) to the rates shown.

The prices quoted for our gîtes are in euros, including VAT, per room and per night, for two or four people (depending on your requirements), with all linen provided, and for the date chosen. Tourist tax (Taxe de Séjour) must be added (per day and per person) to the prices shown. It is possible to rent the gîte des limites with or without access to the communal swimming and relaxation areas (summer lounge, petanque area, etc.).

Our rates and offers are subject to availability at the time of booking and may not be renewed for subsequent bookings.
Non-contractual conditions, rates and offers are subject to change without notice.

Parking and wifi service are included in the posted rates. Snack, drink and restaurant services are extra.

This room or gîte is rented to you for the period specified at the time of your reservation. Under no circumstances can the customer claim any right to remain in the premises beyond this period.

Any change to a booking must be requested directly from Mas Paloma, either by registered post or email.

This change request will only be effective once Mas Paloma has confirmed its acceptance by email or post.
Subject to availability and at the discretion of Mas Paloma, the duration of your stay may be extended without you being obliged to stay in the same room or at the same price.
If the stay is shortened by one or more nights, no refund will be given.

 

In the event of cancellation of a reservation by the owners of Mas Paloma, either by e-mail or by post, the latter will refund to the client all sums received for the following reasons, which are not exhaustive:

  • Serious illness or disability of one or both of the owners for a prolonged period of time;
  • Damage to the premises caused by fire or severe weather conditions such as storms or other climatic phenomena affecting the safety of guests;
  • Failure of the water and/or electricity supply for a period of time which makes it impossible for us to carry out our duties;
  • Closure following an administrative order;
  • Sale of the property.

If you are booking into Mas Paloma Guesthouse, you confirm that you are covered by third party insurance.

If you are booking a self-catering cottage at Mas Paloma, you confirm that you have holiday insurance.

Rooms are available from 4pm to 8pm. Late or early arrivals must be arranged in advance. For late arrivals, without prior agreement, your night will be lost and no refund will be given.

On arrival you will be asked to report any visible deterioration or broken equipment: Any lack of explanation from your part means that you have moved into a place in a perfect condition.

At the check-out, we will make a control and charge any degradations.

Mas Paloma reserves the right to change the room originally booked by the client to an equivalent or superior room, without the client being entitled to any compensation. In this case, the price of the room originally booked will remain unchanged.

Pets are not allowed at Mas Paloma.

If you decide to come to Mas Paloma with your dog and/or cat, check-in will not be possible. There will be no refund.

The swimming pool is open from 8.00 to 22.00 from May to September.

As part of the French regulations on the use of family swimming pools open to the public, and with the aim of ensuring harmonious use, these “Swimming Pool Regulations” have been drawn up.

The owner reminds all guests that the pool is not supervised. The pool is a family pool. Its use is reserved to the members of the owner’s family and to the people staying in the guest rooms.

All noisy games, throwing objects, diving and jumping from the edge are forbidden. The owner declines all responsibility in the event of non-compliance with these rules and may withdraw access to the pool area without compensation. Swimming pool users undertake to :

  • Enjoy the pool area in a friendly and respectful manner, respecting everyone’s privacy.
  • Take a shower before swimming and avoid swimming after using sun creams or oils.
  • Wear sandals suitable for the pool area (no street shoes).
  • Be covered by civil liability and recourse insurance.
 

Respect for a pleasant way of life is required of everyone in order to guarantee the tranquillity of the place and the comfort of its guests.

The client must respect the peaceful nature of the premises and use them in accordance with their intended purpose. The customer undertakes to leave the rooms in perfect condition at the end of the stay, to leave all the objects present in the room and to declare and pay for any damage for which he/she is responsible. Only people who have booked are authorised to enter Mas Paloma.

Mas Paloma declines all responsibility in the event of theft, loss or damage of the client’s personal belongings. If left in the room at the end of the stay, the items can be returned at the request and expense of the person concerned.

 

This contract is governed by French law. All disputes to which this contract could give rise, concerning its validity, its interpretation, its execution, its termination, their consequences and their consequences will be submitted to the competent courts under the conditions of common law.

All reservation requests must be accompanied by written confirmation sent to the Customer by email or post. The reservation will only be validated by us after our reply and will only be definitively taken into account on receipt of full payment.
Payment implies acceptance of these general rental conditions.

The following methods of payment are accepted:

Credit card – VISA & MASTERCARD. The cardholder expressly authorises Mas Paloma to deduct the deposit and/or balance agreed in these general rental conditions.

Bank cheque – Bank domiciled in France, cheque made payable to Mas Paloma.
In this case, the booking is only taken into account when the cheque is credited to the account of SARL Ar Prat, fourteen days after presentation to the bank.

Bank transfer in euros – The booking will only be considered firm when payment is credited to Mas Paloma’s bank account.

Consumption and additional services not mentioned must be paid to the Owner at the end of the stay.

Any partial or total cancellation must be requested directly from Mas Paloma by email or registered post and will only be considered after our reply.

  • If you have opted for an irrevocable booking, no refunds will be given.
  • If the cancellation is made more than 30 days before the arrival date, the amount paid at the time of booking will be refunded less a cancellation fee of €25 per room.
  • If cancellation is made less than 30 days prior to the arrival date, 50% of the amount paid at the time of booking will be refunded and a 50% deposit will be retained and may be used for another stay within 12 months. After this period, the deposit will be forfeited.
  • In the event of cancellation less than 14 days prior to the date of arrival, or in the event of a no-show, or if the client leaves the guest house on the day of arrival, the full amount paid will be retained by the owner.
  • If the client does not arrive before 20:00 on the day of arrival, the contract will be cancelled and the owner will have the guest rooms at his disposal.
  • In the event of a shortened stay, the price corresponding to the cost of accommodation shall be retained in full by the owner.

In the event of cancellation of your holiday due to any French or foreign governmental or prefectoral measures restricting traffic or travel, the deposit will be refunded in full without delay.
Remember, for any other cancellation of your stay (illness, absence of health pass, accident, weather, car breakdown, etc.) the General Terms and Conditions of Sale above apply.

This contract is for a specific number of people. If the number of guests exceeds this, the owner has the right to refuse the additional guests. This refusal can in no way be considered as a modification or breach of the contract on the part of the owner, so that in the event of the departure of a greater number of clients than those refused, no refund can be considered.

Rooms must be vacated no later than 11:00am on the scheduled day of departure.

Please understand that we need the necessary time to provide the most welcoming accommodation possible for those arriving. If you wish to spend your day at the mas, we have a bagagerie and a courtey bathroom for you.

Rooms and cottages will be subject to an inventory before your departure. We ask the guest to pay for any significant deviation.

Breakfast is served outside under the pergola between 8.30am and 10.00am.

If the weather is not good, breakfast is served inside in the dining room of Mas Paloma.

The kitchen, areas not open to the public and private areas are not at the guests’ disposal. Guests are asked to respect the state of the premises, especially the rooms. Cigarette butts and litter must not be left behind; ashtrays and bins are provided. No food is allowed in the bedrooms. There is a television in most of the rooms; the volume must be moderate after 10 p.m. Visitors have free access to the wifi network of the Mas.
Illegal downloading is not allowed. It is customary for visitors to put away their bedding, belongings and clothing, but heavy soiling is the responsibility of the client.

Valuable items (jewellery, multimedia devices, various means of payment, etc.) must not be left in rooms or in parked vehicles; the owner declines all responsibility in the event of these items disappearing.

In order to preserve the tranquillity of Mas Paloma, noise levels must be kept to a minimum both inside and outside the property. Likewise, in order not to disturb the neighbourhood, we ask you to keep your mobile phone on silent mode and to isolate yourself when making or receiving a call.

Please respect the image rights. You are not authorised to take photographs of third parties without their prior consent.

It is strictly forbidden to make noise in the evening after 10 pm and before 8 am.

In the event of a conflict or complaint, we reserve the right to exclude the customers causing the problem. We ask our clients to dress appropriately for all occasions and to be properly dressed and shod when moving around the common areas.

The client undertakes to return the rooms in perfect condition at the end of the stay and to declare and assume financial responsibility for any damage for which he/she is responsible. Mas Paloma declines all responsibility in the event of theft or damage to property.

Naturism is permitted around the bathing area.

In accordance with Decree No. 2006-1386 of 15 November 2006, smoking is prohibited in public places. All places, including rooms, are therefore strictly non-smoking, including e-cigarettes, except outside.

We do not accept bookings from under 18s.

Being sensitive to the protection of our planet, Mas Paloma wishes to contribute to the protection of the environment by minimising the footprint of the operation of its reception structure. Simple, unrestrictive measures can go a long way. Therefore, we count on your cooperation:

  • Avoid leaving lights on unnecessarily
  • Not leaving the water running and reducing the flow when taking a shower
  • As sanitation is provided by a phytosanitary system, we ask that you only throw toilet paper in the toilet and other waste in the designated bins.
  • Avoid using all the towels provided if you don’t need them.

In accordance with the law of 6 January 1978, the client has the right to access and rectify personal data. Mas Paloma undertakes not to disclose the information provided by its clients to other companies or organisations.
